Frequently asked questions

Straight answers. No fluff.

Relay is a coordination app for Nigerian e-commerce fulfillment. It connects merchants, fulfillment centers (FCs), and delivery riders in one system — replacing the WhatsApp group chains that most FCs currently run on.

Fulfillment centers that handle order processing and last-mile delivery for e-commerce merchants in Nigeria. If you're running deliveries out of a warehouse and coordinating via WhatsApp, this is for you.

We're not trying to be Shopify or ShipStation. Relay solves one problem: the coordination gap between merchants, FCs, and riders — with live inventory to match. What we don't do: build your storefront, process customer payments, or integrate with international carriers. Just clean order flow from submission to proof of delivery, on stock that stays honest.

Yes. Merchants create orders in Relay instead of sending WhatsApp messages. They paste their order text (customer name, phone, address, items) and Relay parses it automatically. It takes seconds — faster than typing in a group chat.

FC admins assign riders manually, with the next-best rider pre-selected. Online riders surface first and get ranked by how many deliveries they're already holding, so the FC taps the least-loaded available rider and moves on. The FC always has final say.

Yes. Every Relay delivery has a 6-digit delivery PIN that the business shares with the customer. Customers visit relayapp.ng/track, enter the order number plus the PIN, and see the same live status the fulfillment center and rider see — no account needed.

Yes. Riders can update delivery statuses offline. Updates queue locally and sync when connectivity returns. Built for real Lagos conditions — not Silicon Valley WiFi.

Supported. FCs can enable payment on delivery (POD) at the center level. Riders see the collection amount prominently on their delivery screen. The money flow is between rider, FC, and merchant — Relay tracks it, not processes it.

Free for the first two weeks — no limits, full access. After that, FCs pay ₦100 per order delivered. No subscription, no per-user fees. Merchants, riders, and staff are always free to invite.

Relay is available everywhere in Nigeria. Any fulfillment center can sign up and invite their merchants, riders, and staff.

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Row-level security ensures each FC only sees their own data. Merchants see only their orders. Riders see only their assigned deliveries. No cross-tenant access, ever.
